Former Hezbollah Minister Praises Lebanese Army Chief’s Stances in Washington

Former Minister Mustafa Bayram declared that “the elections must be held on schedule,” adding that “some want to postpone the elections because they discovered that the war and the siege failed to push people to abandon the resistance.”

In this context, Bayram pointed out that “the resistance is not a mere political party, but rather a natal culture, and embodied in people who possess a spirit of pride and dignity.” He noted that the resistance belongs to Mahdism, possessing a philosophy of awaited justice and the restoration of justice for all people, and that, from its position of upholding justice, it is compelled to continue.

During a memorial service held by Hezbollah for the martyr Abbas Ahmad Ghadboun “Abu al-Fadl,” who sacrificed his life for Lebanon and its people, in the southern town of Qana, Bayram emphasized that “the resistance possesses awareness, insight, and wisdom, and desires a strong state and a capable army,” while also commending the position of the Lebanese Army Commander, General Haykal.

He pointed out that “we must see the Americans and their project, understand what they want, and realize the danger of concessions.”

Bayram asked, “What does this Zionist criminal, Graham, have to say?” He added that “General Haykal’s response to Graham was patriotic, consistent with the constitution, consistent with the honor of the army, consistent with Lebanese interests, and consistent with Lebanese civil peace.”

The Lebanese Army Commander Major General Rodolph Haykal, during a meeting with the US Senator Lindsey Graham, rejected labeling Hezbollah as a terrorist group.
