Leader Calls on Iranians to Turn Feb. 11 Rally into Source of Disappointment for Enemy

In a televised message on the eve of the 47th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei has called on the Iranian people to take part in the nationwide rallies marking Feb. 11, describing the day as a symbol of national power and dignity.

The Leader said public participation in the victory anniversary marches demonstrates the nation’s will, unity, and steadfastness, and forces adversaries to retreat from ambitions against Iran and its national interests.

According to Ayatollah Khamenei, national strength depends more on the determination and resistance of the people than on military hardware.

Calling the annual February 11 rallies “unparalleled” in the world, the Leader noted that the continued mass participation after decades reflects the Iranian people’s awareness and commitment.

He stressed that unity, strong will, motivation, and resistance to external pressure are key elements of national power.

Ayatollah Khamenei also expressed hope that Iran’s youths would continue advancing the country in science, ethics, material and spiritual progress, and said the February 11 rallies symbolize national solidarity and loyalty to the Islamic Republic.

He voiced confidence that this year’s anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution would once again showcase the Iranian nation’s resilience and strength.
