Yemen’s Sayyed Al-Houthi Condemns US Insult to Holy Quran as Direct Attack on Islam

The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badreddine Al-Houthi, condemned the latest US insult to the Holy Quran, describing it as a direct attack on the holy book, its divine light, and the preserved legacy of the prophets and sacred scriptures for all humanity.

Sayyed Al-Houthi stated that the act was carried out by a US electoral candidate, who turned it into a political campaign tool. He denounced the incident as a heinous crime against Islam’s most sacred symbol, framing it within what he described as the ongoing Zionist-Jewish war, in which the United States, Britain, the Israeli occupation entity, and their allies in the West and East participate. According to him, this campaign aims to mislead societies, enslave nations, and commit crimes while violating sacred values to achieve objectives of looting, theft, and occupation.

He added that the hatred of the “Zionist Jews and their followers” exposes their moral darkness, while the Quran protects believers from their corruption and misguidance. Sayyed Al-Houthi emphasized that the Quran remains humanity’s safeguard against tyranny and oppression and serves as a fortified refuge for those seeking salvation in this world and the next.

Additionally, Sayyed Al-Houthi criticized the continuous insults, as well as the soft and hard wars waged by Zionist forces through their American, British, and Israeli occupation’s allies. He described these actions as a clear hostility toward Islam and Muslims, aiming to undermine the Quran’s stature in the hearts of believers. He pointed to the ongoing crimes and aggressions against Palestinians and their holy sites as evidence, underscoring Western complicity in these acts.

He urged Muslims—governments, peoples, and intellectuals alike—to fulfill their religious and humanitarian responsibilities in confronting what he described as the tyranny of the Zionist forces, which seek to normalize the desecration of blood, land, and sacred sites. Al-Houthi condemned those who, through weakness or hypocrisy, adopt false narratives, distort anti-tyranny positions, and discourage practical action against injustice.

Highlighting regional concerns, he drew attention to continued Israeli aggression in Lebanon, the desecration of Syria, and conspiracies targeting the broader Middle East, including Yemen. He labeled the so-called “Middle East Transformation Project” as an attack on the Islamic nation’s religion, freedom, dignity, identity, and sovereignty, granting Israel control over regional affairs.

He emphasized that the global Muslim population of over two billion has the potential to effect significant change if it acts with determination. He criticized the absence of political, economic, and media responses, cautioning that failure to act could have serious consequences.

Yemen’s Sayyed Al-Houthi called on the Yemeni people to take a clear stance through widespread mobilizations, starting in universities and schools and culminating in major demonstrations next Friday, with participation from religious scholars and civil society. He framed these actions as a reaffirmation of Islamic identity, a rejection of American and Zionist insults to the Quran, solidarity with the Palestinian people, and preparedness to confront conspiracies targeting the Muslim nation.
