The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei has appreciated the people of Iran for disappointing the enemy with their massive turnout on Wednesday.
Addressing the Iranian people in a televised video message broadcast on Thursday, Ayatollah Khamenei described the massive, million-strong gatherings of the people on Bahman 22 (February 11) as “a source of pride and increase in the power and dignity of the Islamic Republic,” which disappointed the enemies that sought to force the Iranian nation into submission.
Urging the people to preserve “national unity”, he said that it is “extremely valuable.”
He also expressed gratitude to all those who participated in this “great act”.
Iranians took to the streets on February 11 to commemorate the 47th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
