Settlers Torch Vehicles, Storm Shrines as West Bank Raids and Arrests Intensify

At dawn on Wednesday, Zionist settlers attacked Palestinian property in the occupied West Bank, setting fire to multiple vehicles in the village of Ein Yabrud, northeast of Ramallah. The assault spread panic among residents as settlers also spray-painted racist and hateful graffiti on buildings, including slogans such as “Enough persecution of Jews” and “Avi Blot, don’t mess with us.”

According to local Palestinian sources, the settlers infiltrated the village in the early morning hours, targeting cars parked outside homes and daubing anti-Palestinian slogans. Among the graffiti were messages directed at the Israeli army’s Central Command commander, Major General Avi Blot, stating: “Avi Blot, don’t deal with us – Greetings from the King David Brigades.” This name is used by “Hilltop Youth” settler groups, who frequently claim responsibility for attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank.

The incident coincides with heightened military activity across the territory. Israeli occupation forces raided the eastern neighborhood of Jenin early Wednesday, deploying military reinforcements from the Jalameh checkpoint. Occupation Soldiers stormed one home, converting it into a military post, and surrounded another. A widespread arrest campaign followed, with locals subjected to field interrogations, escalating tension and fear in the area.

Meanwhile, in the town of Kafr Haris, Israeli occupation forces intensified their presence, shutting shops and blocking side roads to secure a prolonged settler incursion that lasted until dawn. Settlers reportedly destroyed water meters and hurled stones at Palestinian homes, causing property damage and further alarming residents.

This wave of violence occurs amid already elevated tensions. Data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission indicates that settlers and Israeli occupation forces carried out a total of 2,144 attacks during November alone. These included 1,523 operations by the Israeli occupation army and 621 by settlers, with the highest concentration in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh (360 attacks), Hebron (348), Bethlehem (342), and Nablus (334).

Arrest campaigns were also reported in Bethlehem and Nablus, underscoring a broader pattern of intensified Israeli occupation military and settler actions across the occupied West Bank.
