Hezbollah’s Journey of Resistance Marches On

Hezbollah's martyred leaders from left to right: Sheikh Ragheb Harb, Hajj Imad Mughniyeh, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and Sayyed Abbas Al-Moussawi.

For decades, the path of Hezbollah’s resistance has been written not only in victories, but in sacrifice.

Leaders rose from among the people, carrying the weight of their homeland, Lebanon, on their shoulders, and when the moment demanded it, they offered their lives so that the nation might stand.

Their martyrdom was not an end, but a turning point. For every leader who fell, another stepped forward, steadfast and unwavering. Every new leader carried the same legacy, the same vision and the same promise.

The Israeli enemy believed that by silencing voices, it could silence a movement. But Resistance is not a single name, nor a single generation. It is a living legacy that is regenerated in every sacrifice, strengthened in every trial, and carried forward by those who refuse to let the journey end.

On the anniversary of Hezbollah’s Martyred Leaders, we pause not in mourning alone, but in remembrance of voices that still resonate.

Today, Al-Manar recalls the echoing voices of these great leaders, voices that spoke of dignity and refused surrender.

Hezbollah annually marks anniversary of martyred leaders on February 16. Key spiritual leader Sheikh Ragheb Harb, former S.G. Sayyed Abbas Al-Moussawi and top military commander Hajj Imad Mughniyeh were assassinated by Israeli enemy on 1984, 1992 and 2008 successively.

Speaking during a ceremony marking anniversary of Hezbollah’s martyred leaders on Monday, the resistance group’s Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem hailed sacrifices by the martyred leaders along with former S.G. Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, vowing to continue the path of resistance.

“The martyred leaders dissolved into the spirit of Islam, drawing their compass from the path of Imam Hussein (a.s.). They walked the road of resistance with unwavering faith, and we shall carry it forward, steadfast and unbroken,” Sheikh Qassem said in a ceremony held by Hezbollah on the occasion.
