Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Rami Abu Hamdan said on Saturday condemnations are no longer effective regarding the Israeli attacks, stressing that the Lebanese blood “is not to be treated as cheap.”

In remarks commenting on the Israeli massacre that killed at least ten people and injured more than 30 others in Bekaa on Friday, MP Abu Hamdan slammed Lebanese authorities for inaction over the Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

“The authorities must enact a fundamental shift in how they defend the nation. What happened tonight in the Bekaa, and what recurs night after night in southern Lebanon, cannot be normalized or treated as routine,” the lawmaker stated in remarks released by Hezbollah’s Media Relations.

He stressed that “it’s unacceptable for officials to behave like detached political analysts, reducing these assaults to ‘familiar’ Israeli strikes we are expected to absorb ahead of every Mechanism committee meeting.”

In this context, MP Abu Hamdan called on the Lebanese authorities to suspend participation in the committee’s sessions “until the aggression stops.”

“The authorities must act swiftly and effectively. The government and the entire state must seriously shoulder their responsibilities, abandoning the policy of submission and surrender that only emboldens the criminal enemy to threaten Lebanon’s security and the safety of its honorable and dignified citizens. Further political maneuvering without strength is a mere waste of time, lives, and losses in this country.”

MP Abu Hamdan, meanwhile, saluted the people of resistance, hailing their sacrifices.

“As for our people, despite the wounds, the bloodshed, and the sacrifices, they emerge only stronger, more present, more steadfast, and more deeply committed to the path of resistance.”

“The noblest of people remain as they have always been, steadfast and unbroken. They are the same sons of Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, whose voices we heard today in hospitals—not cries of pain, but declarations of courage and resilience.”

The Israeli enemy committed a massacre on Friday night. It carried out at Least three strikes on Bekaa, with one of the strikes targeting a residential building in Riyaq. At least 10 people were martyred and more than 30 others were wounded, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.

Earlier on Friday, the Israeli enemy attacked Ain Al-Hilweh refugee camp, Lebanon’s largest Palestinian refugee camp, which is located on the outskirts of the southern city of Sidon. The attack on Hittin neighborhood of the refugee camp, claimed the lives of two people.
