14 Arab and Muslim States Condemn US Endorsement of Israeli Occupation

A coalition of Arab and Muslim states issued on Sunday a sweeping condemnation of remarks by the US ambassador to the Israeli occupation entity, warning that his comments effectively endorse Israeli control over occupied Arab territories and pose a grave threat to regional security.

In a joint statement, the foreign ministries of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bahrain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, and Egypt—alongside the Secretariats of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the League of Arab States, and the Gulf Cooperation Council—voiced strong denunciation and deep concern over comments made by US Ambassador to the Zionist entity Mike Huckabee.

The statement said Huckabee’s remarks signaled acceptance of the Israeli enemy’s control over land belonging to Arab states, including the occupied West Bank.

Blatant Violation of International Law

The ministries rejected the statements as “dangerous and provocative,” describing them as a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. They warned that such rhetoric undermines regional stability and constitutes a serious threat to peace and security.

According to the joint declaration, the ambassador’s comments directly contradict the vision previously outlined by US President Donald Trump and the comprehensive framework aimed at ending the Gaza conflict. That framework, the ministers noted, is intended to contain escalation and open a political horizon for a comprehensive settlement guaranteeing the Palestinian people the right to establish an independent state.

They stressed that any attempt to legitimize control over another people’s land erodes prospects for coexistence, fuels tensions, and amounts to incitement rather than a contribution to peace.

Rejection of Annexation and Settlement Expansion

The statement reaffirmed that the Israeli enemy holds no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories or any other occupied Arab land. The coalition expressed categorical opposition to any attempt to annex the West Bank, separate it from the Gaza Strip, or expand settlement activity in occupied Palestinian territory. It also rejected any threat to the sovereignty of Arab states.

The ministries warned that continued Israeli expansionist policies and unlawful measures would only ignite further violence and deepen conflict across the region, undermining any remaining prospects for peace.

They called for an end to what they described as inflammatory rhetoric and reiterated their unshaken dedication to the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and to the establishment of an independent state along the June 4, 1967, lines, with an end to the occupation of all Arab lands.
