The foreign minister Youssef Rajji made weird remarks, sharing reports which allegedly warn that the Israeli enemy would strike Lebanon’s strategic infrastructure, including Beirut International Airport, in case of any military escalation.
Rajji’s remarks, though stunning, did not differ from the general political discourse of the minister himself and his political team, the “Lebanese Forces”, based on magnifying the power of the enemy and underestimating the capabilities of the Lebanese people and the resistance facing the Israeli occupation.
The Zionist media outlets highlighted Rajji’s remarks, quoting Israeli officials as denying plans to strike strategic infrastructure in Lebanon in case of any war.
Locally, Rajji’s remarks received wide condemnations in Lebanon. In this regard, Head of the Free Patriotic Movement MP Gebran Bassil, who rejected his intimidations.
“Are you inviting the enemy strike our airport?” Bassil asked.

The Progressive Socialist Party highlighted the contradiction between Rajji’s claims and the Israeli denial in this regard,
Member of the Development and Liberation parliamentary bloc, MP Qassem Hachem. stated that Rajji’s remarks intimidate the Lebanese and are suspicious in this time specifically.
Observers also wondered how Rajji’s reports were not obtained by the competent authorities in Lebanon, which casts doubts on their veracity.
