Yemen’s Al-Houthi Offers Condolences on Martyrdom of Imam Khamenei: A Profound Loss to the Islamic World

Sayyed Abdulmalik Badreddine Al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, extended his deepest condolences following the martyrdom of Imam Sayyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, describing the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution as “a great divine scholar, guide of the revolution, and a noble martyred leader.” He called the loss “a true and grave tragedy for the entire Islamic world.”

Sayyed Al-Houthi conveyed his sympathies to the family of Imam Khamenei, to the Iranian people, to the country’s official institutions, and to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as to the broader Islamic Ummah.

He stated that the aggression against Iran aims to empower Israel to dominate the region by removing what he described as the greatest obstacle to that objective. According to Sayyed Al-Houthi, the United States and Israel seek to dismantle Iran’s Islamic system and its revolutionary, liberationist orientation—one that rejects Zionist hegemony, supports the Palestinian cause, and stands by the peoples of the region.

Sayyed Al-Houthi described Imam Khamenei’s martyrdom as a major loss to the Islamic nation, asserting that Washington and Tel Aviv sought through this “heinous crime” to eliminate his central role in confronting their “tyranny” and thwarting their plans. He said the targeting of the Iranian leader was intended to end his stewardship of the Islamic system and its global role in defending the oppressed and presenting an independent Islamic civilizational model free from domination.

He added that the attack sought to break the will of the Iranian people and their institutions, undermine their morale, and pressure regional governments into submission under Israeli dominance.

Al-Houthi stressed that the proper response for the Iranian nation, its Revolutionary Guard, and its institutions is loyalty to Khamenei’s blood and steadfast adherence to a path of freedom, dignity, and resistance. He said the martyrdom of such a prominent Islamic figure must serve as a catalyst for perseverance, unwavering faith, and renewed resolve.

He emphasized that the sacrifices of committed leaders immortalize the path of resistance and revive in the Ummah the spirit of determination and sacrifice. Since its Islamic Revolution, he said, Iran has chosen a path of struggle and liberation, remaining firm through successive trials. He argued that the failure of its enemies will come through the resilience of the Iranian people and their institutions.

Sayyed Al-Houthi concluded that the choice before the Islamic world is clear: to confront American and Israeli domination or risk forfeiting its freedom, dignity, and faith. He affirmed that reliance on God, trust in His promise, and steadfast sacrifice in defense of just causes will ultimately secure victory, asserting that “Zionist-American criminality” will not preserve a regime he described as destined to vanish.

He ended by expressing confidence in Iran’s cohesion and resolve, stating that the Iranian response remains strong and ongoing and that the Iranian people, the axis of resistance, and free people worldwide remain faithful to the sacrifices made in defense of a just and liberating path.
