Hezbollah firmly denied on Friday media reports claiming that figures within the resistance group had taken a position on ongoing negotiations, stressing that no authorized official or body has issued any statement on the matter.
In a statemen, Hezbollah Media Relations said that claims carried by several media outlets, attributed to unnamed “sources” within the party, “are entirely unfounded and do not reflect its official stance.”

Hezbollah always stresses that that any official position is communicated solely through its recognized channels.
Earlier on Friday, Al-Hadath Saudi media outlet claimed that a French ceasefire proposal stipulates that Hezbollah “declare a cessation of fighting and lay down its weapons, and that the Lebanese army enter the southern suburbs of Beirut.”
It quoted what it called “Hezbollah sources” as claiming that: “The word now belongs to the battlefield. We reject any proposal for negotiation. We will confront the raid on our weapons depots as we will any Israeli aggression.”
Lebanon has been since Monday under a brutal Israeli aggression that attacks several areas across the country. So far, 129 people have been martyred, with 704 others being injured, according to Lebanese Health Ministry.
Hezbollah fighters have also engaged in clashes with Israeli occupation forces at the border with occupied Palestine, repelling advance attempts by the Israeli enemy, and inflicting heavy losses upon its forces.
