The Israeli aggression against Lebanon continues after completing its first week… widespread crimes against civilians and destruction of buildings in various areas
In the early hours of Monday, Israeli warplanes carried out a series of raids on the southern suburbs of Beirut. According to Al-Manar correspondent, the strikes targeted the headquarters of Al-Qard Al-Hassan in the Al-Safir area. The Israeli enemy had previously announced the commencement of a wave of attacks on the capital, specifically targeting locations in the densely populated southern suburbs.
The assault on the suburbs unfolded in multiple waves. Our correspondent reported that two Israeli drones conducted initial strikes in the Ghobeiri area, which were immediately followed by a heavier airstrike from fighter jets. A subsequent airstrike was also reported in the vicinity later at dawn. The raids targeted areas including the vicinity of the American-Saint Therese neighborhood in the Safir area and the zone between Ghobeiri and Haret Hreik. The strikes resulted in the complete destruction of residential buildings and caused significant damage to surrounding structures.
Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes expanded their aggression in southern Lebanon, launching airstrikes on the towns of Srifa, Tayr Debba, Qalawiya, Jouya, and Froun.
The town of Tayr Debba in the Tyre district witnessed particularly heavy bombing, with airstrikes hitting entire residential neighborhoods. The Ministry of Public Health’s Emergency Health Operations Center reported that the initial death toll from the strikes on Tayr Debba stands at three civilians, with 15 others wounded.
Footage circulating from the scene showed widespread destruction, with some residential buildings completely leveled and others severely damaged, along with the town’s infrastructure. Firefighters and civil defense teams rushed to the area immediately after the strikes and continue to work tirelessly to remove rubble and transport the dead and wounded to local hospitals. The Health Ministry confirmed that rescue and debris removal operations are still ongoing.
