‘Israel’ Continues Attacks on Gaza with Shelling, Airstrikes, Demolitions

Israeli occupation forces committed ten new violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip since early Friday, local sources reported, further destabilizing the tenuous pause in the genocidal war.

The violations included targeted demolitions and aerial attacks across the territory. In Gaza City, occupation forces demolished three civilian residential buildings in the eastern al-Tuffah neighborhood. Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike on the city at dawn, coinciding with controlled detonations of booby-trapped vehicles near the al-Butsh Cemetery.

These operations form part of a continued pattern of Israeli breaches, raising acute concerns about the deteriorating humanitarian and security situation in Gaza.

Residents reported additional attacks, including Israeli artillery shelling in eastern Gaza City and helicopter gunfire targeting Rafah in the south. The assault extended to Khan Yunis, where Israeli helicopters intensified fire in eastern and southern areas, supported by two airstrikes on eastern neighborhoods. Israeli military vehicles also opened fire east of Khan Yunis, while naval gunboats fired heavily off the coast.

The Israeli occupation military expanded the so-called “yellow line” in Gaza City’s al-Tuffah neighborhood on Thursday, signaling preparations to carry out demolitions of residential blocks. The decision constitutes a fresh breach of the ceasefire agreement and continues the policy of destruction that Israel has recently intensified in Gaza.

The Israeli occupation army issued new evacuation orders for an entire residential block in what it falsely designates a “safe zone” east of al-Tuffah, in order to demolish it. The area of the “yellow cubes”, concrete military structures used to establish control zones, was expanded by over 100 meters in depth and more than 300 meters in width.

As a result, hundreds of families began fleeing eastern al-Tuffah, sparking widespread panic and fear of a repeat of previous mass demolitions and the destruction of critical infrastructure.

The targeted area extends from the “Sanfour” area to a nearby United Nations facility, bringing Israeli control alarmingly close to Salah al-Din Street in eastern Gaza City, according to local sources.

Those sources also report the army has deployed additional “yellow cubes,” large cement blocks used to fortify military posts and alter the landscape, clearly indicating intent to further expand the buffer zone at the expense of civilian areas and homes.

The expanded “yellow line” now pushes even further west into the heart of the neighborhood, further shrinking the remaining residential space. This creates a new security reality that threatens the stability of what’s left of the civilian population and worsens the ongoing displacement crisis in Gaza City.

Since the October 10 ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, the Israeli army has repeatedly extended the yellow line.

Meanwhile, Israeli Army Minister Yisrael Katz announced plans to establish new settler outposts in northern Gaza and reiterated that “Israel will never withdraw from Gaza.” He confirmed that Israel intends to maintain a broad “security zone” inside the Strip, allegedly to protect Israeli towns near the border.

The ceasefire agreement, reached on October 9, 2025, through mediation by Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye under the sponsorship of US President Donald Trump, outlined a three-phase plan. Its second phase involves forming a temporary technocratic committee to govern Gaza, oversee reconstruction, establish a Peace Council, deploy an international force, ensure further Israeli troop withdrawal, and disarm Hamas.

Despite this, Israeli violations persist. According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, ‘Israel’ has committed 875 ceasefire violations to date, resulting in the deaths of 411 Palestinians and injuries to 1,112 others.
