Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Friday the execution of the 83rd wave of Operation True Promise 4, a coordinated missile and drone strike conducted by the IRGC Aerospace Force and Navy.
In a statement, the IRGC said the operation targeted oil storage tanks and depots in Ashdod, as well as a military base belonging to Israeli occupation forces in the settlement of Mada’in.
The strikes also targeted US military bases at Al Dhafra and Al Udeid, a US military information exchange center in the region, and fuel depots for American aircraft and fighter jets, according to the IRGC.
Additional targets included maintenance and repair hangars for transport aircraft and drones at Ali Al Salem Air Base, as well as maintenance facilities for the Patriot missile system at Sheikh Isa Air Base, the statement added.
The IRGC noted that the strikes were carried out using long-range and medium-range precision-guided missiles with multiple warheads, along with attack and patrol drones, asserting that the operation was a complete success.
The attack is part of Operation True Promise 4, launched by Iranian armed forces in response to US-Israeli aggression against Iran that began on February 28. According to the IRGC, the operation targets US bases and interests in the region, as well as vital Israeli military sites in the occupied Palestinian territories.
