Yemen Officially Enters the Fight: Ballistic Missiles Strike Israeli Targets

The Yemeni Armed Forces have officially joined the war against the US‑Israeli front, launching a ballistic missile barrage at sensitive military sites in southern occupied Palestine in support of Iran and the Resistance Axis.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced the operation in a statement on Saturday, framing it as the first direct military intervention in line with earlier warnings. “In implementation of what was stated in the last statement of the Yemeni Armed Forces regarding direct military intervention in support of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the resistance fronts in Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine, and in view of the continued military escalation, the targeting of infrastructure, and the perpetration of crimes and massacres against our brothers in Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, and Palestine,” Saree said, the Yemeni forces carried out the operation using a barrage of ballistic missiles.

The strike, he added, coincided with “heroic operations” carried out by Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon. “By the grace of Allah Almighty, the operation successfully achieved its objectives,” the spokesman noted, stressing that such operations will continue until the aggression against all resistance fronts ceases.

The move comes nearly a month after the United States and the Israeli regime launched a fresh wave of unprovoked aggression against the Islamic Republic, alongside intensified attacks on regional resistance groups. On Friday, Saree had warned that Yemen was prepared for direct military intervention if the American‑Israeli escalation against Iran and the Axis of Resistance persisted.

According to Saree, further factors that could prompt Yemeni military action include any participation by other parties in the ongoing aggression, as well as the use of the Red Sea to carry out hostile operations against Iran or any other Muslim country. “We will not allow that,” he asserted.
