Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance in Lebanon strongly condemned the terrorist attack targeting worshippers at the Imam Ali Mosque in the Syrian city of Homs, which claimed the lives of several people and wounded dozens.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the group denounced the assault as a “heinous crime” committed against civilians during Friday prayers in the holy month of Rajab, calling it a grave violation of religious sanctity.
“The criminal hands that reached a house of God reveal the true identity of these killers, who reject religious and intellectual diversity and promote hate speech, exclusion, and the rejection of others in service of what the statement described as American and Israeli projects.”
The group called for the perpetrators, whom it described as “deviant groups,” to be identified, brought to justice, and subjected to the harshest possible penalties.
Hezbollah also extended its condolences to the families of those killed, wishing a swift recovery for the wounded, and expressing hope for “stability, progress, and prosperity” for the Syrian people.
