Iran, Qatar foreign ministers call for upped international pressure on the Zionist entity over Lebanon and Gaza.
In a telephone conversation on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani discussed regional developments, expressing concern over the continued Israeli attacks on Gaza and Lebanon.
The two FMs emphasized the “need for the international community to exert pressure on Israel to fully adhere to its commitments and to stop its policies of genocide, occupation, and expansionism,” Tasnim news agency reported, citing a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Araghchi and Al Thani also reviewed recent developments in Yemen and stressed the necessity of preserving Yemen’s territorial integrity and unity.
The Israeli occupation proceeds attacks on Gaza in violation of the October ceasefire, as it controls large swaths of the territory in the besieged strip.
Meanwhile, the Israeli enemy continues to bomb Lebanon, mainly the country’s south, almost daily and maintains occupation over five posts along the southern border, in violation of a ceasefire deal reached following a brutal 66-day Israeli war between September and November 2024.
