Operation Eaten Straw: Hezbollah Assails Northern Israeli Settlements, Key Military Infrastructure

Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance in Lebanon unleashed on Thursday a relentless and meticulously coordinated wave of strikes across the occupied territories under “Operation Eaten Straw,” demonstrating unprecedented precision and operational intensity.

Using advanced missiles and groups of combat drones, the attacks were aimed at Israeli military sites, key facilities, and troop gatherings, providing a meticulously planned retaliation to the attacks on Lebanese cities, including the southern suburb of Beirut (Dahiyeh).

The group’s military media issued consecutive statements detailing the attacks and their outcomes.

The first three statements reported that between 11:00 and 11:55 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Hezbollah fighters targeted gatherings of Israeli army soldiers and vehicles at Rshaf, on the Jneijel Heights in Qantara, and at the Al-Malkiyeh Israeli site, using artillery shells and rocket barrages.

Statements 4 and 5 reported that on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Hezbollah fighters struck gatherings of Israeli occupation army soldiers and vehicles in Ainata, targeting Ghadmatha Heights at 8:00 PM and Friz Hill at 8:30 PM with rocket barrages.

Between 12:05 and 12:35 AM on Thursday, April 2, 2026, Hezbollah fighters targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in Ainata’s Al-Sadr area and in the Al-Malikiyah settlement with rocket barrages, according to Statements 6 and 7.

Statement 8 reported that Hezbollah fighters targeted, at 01:30 on Thursday, a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers and vehicles in the Israeli settlement of Metula with a rocket salvo.

As per the group’s ninth statement, Hezbollah fighters targeted at 2:00 AM Israeli military infrastructure in the Kiryat Ata area, east of the occupied city of Haifa, with a rocket strike.

Statement 10 reported that, as part of warnings issued to multiple settlements in northern occupied Palestine, at 6:00 AM on Thursday, Hezbollah fighters targeted the settlement of Even Menachem with a swarm of attack drones.

Simultaneously, at 06:10 AM, Hezbollah fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli occupation army soldiers in the settlements of Yir’on and Al-Malkiyeh with a rocket barrage, according to the group’s statements 11 and 12.

Statement 13 mentioned that at 06:40 Hezbollah fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli occupation army soldiers in the Avivim settlement with a rocket salvo.

Between 8:00 and 9:00 AM on Thursday, Hezbollah fighters struck the Metula settlement and Kiryat Shmona twice with rocket barrages as part of warnings issued to multiple Israeli settlements in northern occupied Palestine, according to statements 14 to 16.

Statement 17 reported that at 10:00 AM Hezbollah fighters targeted an Israeli helicopter over the border town of Ramiya with a surface-to-air missile, forcing it to retreat.

Statement 18 declared that after spotting a unit of Israeli occupation soldiers stationed inside a house in the border town of Al-Qouzah, Hezbollah fighters struck it at 14:30 PM with a guided missile, achieving a direct hit, and subsequently targeted the soldiers as they fled to the surrounding area with rocket and artillery fire.

Simultaneously, at 10:30 AM, Hezbollah fighters targeted the Metula Israeli settlement for the second time and the headquarters of the Northern Command of the Israeli enemy army (Dado base) north of the occupied city of Safed with a rocket barrage, according to the group’s statements 19 and 20.

Statement 21 reported that at 9:15 AM, Hezbollah fighters struck the Beit Hillel Israeli settlement with a rocket barrage.

Between 10:25 AM and 10:40 AM, Hezbollah fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers and vehicles at the Fatima border gate, as well as two additional gatherings in the town of Taybeh, with multiple rocket barrages, statements 22 and 23 reported.

The meticulously coordinated operations demonstrate Hezbollah’s precision, as fighters, within a 30-minute window between 12:00 and 12:30 PM, struck a gathering of Israeli soldiers in Misgav Am, two gatherings in separate houses in Taybeh, a Merkava tank east of the Khiam detention center with a guided missile, and additional gatherings of Israeli soldiers and vehicles at Kfar Giladi and Marj with rocket barrages and guided missiles, achieving confirmed direct hits, according to Statements 24 to 27.

Statement 28 mentioned that between 10:00 and 11:00 on Thursday, April 2, 2026, Hezbollah fighters targeted gatherings of Israeli enemy soldiers and vehicles in the towns of Rashaf and Beit Lif with rocket barrages.

Statement 29 highlighted that after spotting a force of Israeli enemy soldiers stationed inside a house in the town of Al-Bayyada, Hezbollah fighters targeted them at 15:15 with a drone strike and achieved direct hits.

Statement 30 reported that in response to continued Israeli attacks on civilians, forced displacement, and house demolitions, Hezbollah fighters targeted Israeli military infrastructure in Krayot, north of the occupied city of Haifa, with a rocket strike at 3:35 PM on Thursday.

Simultaneously at 3:30 PM on Thursday, Hezbollah fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers at the Ras Al-Naqoura site and the Shlomi Israeli settlement with rocket barrages, as per the group’s statements 31 and 32.

Statement 33 reported that at 4:35 PM, Hezbollah fighters targeted the Nahariya Israeli occupation settlement with a rocket salvo.

Statement 34 mentioned that at 07:00 Hezbollah fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers and vehicles at the Friz hill in the town of Ainata with three waves of rocket salvos.
