The central headquarters of Iran’s Khatam Al-Anbiya announced that Iraq is exempt from the restrictions imposed on the Strait of Hormuz, noting that these measures apply only to hostile nations.
The statement emphasized full respect for Iraq’s national sovereignty and praised the Iraqi people for their steadfast resistance against the United States, describing their struggle as worthy of honor and recognition.
Addressing the Iraqi people directly, the headquarters said: “You have proven that you are a nation that neither submits nor yields.”
The spokesperson highlighted that the United States and the Israeli occupation entity, in coordination with their allies, carried out aggression targeting Iran’s national and Islamic sovereignty, impacting civilians as well as essential services, including educational, health, and public facilities.
The statement commended Iraq’s response to these aggressions as wise and sincere, calling the Iraqi reaction powerful and revolutionary, particularly in the wake of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei and other martyrs.
It added that Iran was “not alone,” noting that Iraqi support and solidarity provided significant moral encouragement in continuing the struggle.
The statement included prayers for Iraqis in their confrontation with the United States, emphasizing that their stance will be remembered in history. It reaffirmed that Iraq remains exempt from the Strait of Hormuz restrictions, which apply solely to hostile states.
The spokesperson reiterated respect for Iraq’s sovereignty and lauded Iraqis’ resistance against the United States, describing it as evidence of “a nation that neither submits nor yields.”
The headquarters also noted that current developments may provide Iraq with an opportunity to end the US presence on its soil, achieve lasting security, and halt the plundering of Iraqi resources.
Paying tribute to Iraq’s martyrs—especially members of the resistance factions and the Popular Mobilization Forces—the statement extended respect to their fighters, the Iraqi people, and tribal communities, while acknowledging the support of Iraq’s religious authorities for Iran.
Concluding, the statement affirmed that the Iranian and Iraqi peoples stand in a single trench, expressing confidence in victory in what it described as the historic battle against the United States and the Zionist entity, evoking historical examples of sacrifice in the defense of justice.
