Operation Eaten Straw: Hezbollah Intensifies Precision Strikes on Israeli Settlements, Armored Vehicles

Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance in Lebanon launched on Tuesday a meticulously coordinated wave of strikes across the occupied territories under the codename “Operation Eaten Straw,” demonstrating unprecedented precision and operational intensity. The attacks targeted Israeli military and strategic sites in response to aggression against Lebanese cities, including Beirut’s southern suburb, Dahiyeh.

The group’s military media issued consecutive statements detailing the attacks and their outcomes.

The group’s first two statements said that after warning several settlements in northern occupied Palestine, Hezbollah fighters hit the settlements of Metula twice and Kfar Yuval once with rocket barrages between 1:00 AM and 2:20 AM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

“Between 7:00 and 7:45 AM, Hezbollah fighters precisely targeted an Israeli occupation army force east of the Khiam detention center with appropriate weapons as well as the Kiryat Shmona settlement with a rocket barrage,” statements three and four read.

Between 8:00 and 9:40 AM, the group stated that, following its earlier warning to several settlements in northern occupied Palestine, Hezbollah fighters targeted Kiryat Shmona for the second time and Metula for the third time, as well as Shlomi and Even Menachem, according to statements 5 to 8.

Statement 9 reported that at 10:00 AM, Hezbollah fighters targeted two hostile Israeli helicopters in the skies above the town of Al-Bayada with surface-to-air missiles and forced them to retreat.

Statements 10 and 11 reported that Hezbollah fighters struck two Merkava tanks in the Taybeh project with two attack drones and targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the town of Markaba with a rocket barrage between 9:00 and 9:15 AM on Tuesday.

Statements 12 and 13 reported that Hezbollah fighters targeted the settlement of Netu’a with a rocket barrage at 9:00 AM and struck a gathering of Israeli vehicles and soldiers at Fatima Gate on the Lebanese-Palestinian border with another rocket barrage at 10:00 AM the same day.

Statements 14 to 16 reported that Hezbollah fighters targeted Shlomi for the second time and Shomera with rocket barrages at 10:00 AM and struck Metula for the fourth time with another rocket barrage at 10:30 AM the same day.

“At 10:35 on Tuesday, Hezbollah fighters targeted infrastructure belonging to the Israeli occupation army in the settlement of Karmiel with a rocket barrage,” statement 17 read.

Statement 18 reported that at 09:15 Hezbollah fighters confronted an Israeli warplane in the skies of the South with a surface-to-air missile.

According to statements 19 and 20, between 11:00 and 11:15 AM on Tuesday, Hezbollah fighters shelled a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the town of Taybeh and struck a Merkava tank in the town of Bayyada with an attack drone, achieving a direct hit.

Statements 21 and 22 reported that Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli vehicles and soldiers in Taybeh with a rocket barrage at 11:30 AM and struck similar gatherings in Rashaf and Beit Leef with rocket barrages at 11:55 AM the same day.

Statement 23 stated that, after spotting an Israeli occupation army force inside a house in the town of Al-Bayyada, Hezbollah fighters targeted it with a guided missile at 11:35 AM, achieving confirmed hits.

Statement 24 reported that Hezbollah fighters targeted the Israeli settlement of Nahariya with a rocket barrage at 12:10 PM.

Statement 25 reported that at 6:30 AM, Hezbollah fighters intercepted an Israeli warplane over western Bekaa with a surface-to-air missile.

Statement 26 reported that, in defense of Lebanon and its people, Hezbollah fighters have been engaged since noon on Tuesday in fierce clashes with an Israeli army force on the eastern outskirts of Bint Jbeil, using light and medium weapons while simultaneously targeting it with rockets and artillery, including a direct missile strike that hit a Merkava tank, with the clashes still ongoing at the time the statement was issued around 15:30.

Statement 27 reported that, concurrent with the heroic clashes on the eastern outskirts of Bint Jbeil, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted Israeli force gatherings in the town of Maroun Al-Ras, around the Moussa Abbas complex and the Tahrir Triangle in Bint Jbeil, and in Friz Hill and Ghadmatha in Ainata with volleys of rockets and artillery shells.

“At 14:50 on Tuesday, Hezbollah fighters targeted gatherings of vehicles and soldiers of the Israeli enemy army in the towns of Rshaf and Beit Lif with rocket barrages,” statement 28 read.

Statements 29 and 30 reported that, between 12:50 PM and 1:00 PM Hezbollah fighters targeted gatherings of Israeli vehicles and soldiers in the Taybeh project with rocket barrages and artillery shells and struck a Namera armored vehicle there with a drone, achieving a direct hit.

Statements 31 and 32 reported that Hezbollah targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers near the Khiam detention center with a rocket barrage at 12:30 PM and struck again another gathering in a house near the Taybeh project with an attack drone at 1:10 PM, achieving a direct hit.

Statement 33 reported that, following a warning issued to several settlements in northern occupied Palestine, Hezbollah fighters targeted multiple settlements with rocket barrages starting at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, including Kiryat Shmona at 12:10 PM, Avivim at 2:45 PM, Yir’on at 2:50 PM, Zar’it at 3:20 PM, Kiryat Shmona again at 3:30 PM, Beit Hillel at 3:30 PM, and Zar’it again at 3:50 PM.

“At 14:30 and 15:50 on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Hezbollah fighters targeted gatherings of Israeli enemy army soldiers at the Metula site with rocket barrages,” statement 34 read.

Statement 35 reported that Islamic Resistance fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers at the Misgav Am site with a rocket barrage at 1:30 PM.
