Lebanon: Martyrs and Wounded in Renewed Israeli Aggression on Southern Towns

Smoke rises after an Israeli strike on southern Lebanon (April 2026).

Three civilians were martyred and others wounded in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the town of Maraka in southern Lebanon, according to the National News Agency.

The agency added that nine civilians were wounded in ten separate Israeli airstrikes on the towns of Sarira and Qatrani in the Jezzine district of southern Lebanon.

Three Martyrs, Two Wounded in an Attack on Tayr Dibba

In a related development, three citizens were martyred and two others wounded in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Tayr Dibba in southern Lebanon last night.

Meanwhile, Al-Manar correspondent reported late last night that Israeli forces launched airstrikes on the towns of Jouya and Sultaniyeh in southern Lebanon.

1,497 Martyrs Since the Start of the Israeli Aggression

It is worth noting that the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced yesterday that 1,497 people have been martyred since March 2nd as a result of the intensified and renewed Israeli aggression against various Lebanese regions — with a focus on the South, the Bekaa Valley, and the southern suburbs of Beirut — alongside attempts to advance into border villages.

In defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the aggression, the Islamic Resistance is carrying out operations to confront Israeli enemy forces along the border, targeting occupation sites and settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, and intensifying its operations against occupation vehicles, tanks, and troop concentrations.
