The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) says it would stand firmly against any unrest or territorial aggression, warning adversaries against miscalculation.
In a statement issued on Monday to mark the anniversary of the 2009 nationwide rallies in support of the Islamic Republic held on the 9th of the Persian calendar month of Dey, the IRGC said “Iran’s brave defenders are prepared to confront any sedition, unrest, psychological or cognitive warfare, security threat, or violation of the country’s territory.”
The enemies of the Islamic Revolution continued to seek to recreate past unrest through modern tools of psychological operations, narrative-building, and cognitive warfare, the IRGC statement read, according to IRNA news agency.

It added that the IRGC and its Basij forces remained alert to both external threats and plots by “misguided instigators,” and would thwart them under the guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei and with public support.

The statement also warned against efforts to sow division or undermine public trust, saying such moves played into the hands of Iran’s enemies.
It said closer alignment among the public, officials, and elites was more necessary than ever to safeguard security and advance the country’s development.
