Iran’s Supreme National Security Council announced at midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday that Iran, with the support of the resistance front in Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and occupied Palestine, “achieved a great victory during the past 40 days in the face of the United States and Israel, after the failure of American and Israeli forces to achieve their military objectives and impose control over Iran.” The Council emphasized that the severe blows inflicted on the enemy will remain etched in the historical memory of humanity.

Addressing the Iranian people and declaring victory, the Council stated: “We inform you that the enemy, in its unjust, illegal, and criminal war against the Iranian people, has suffered an undeniable and crushing historical defeat.”

The statement further explained that “the enemy, in launching this unjust war, believed it could quickly cripple Iran’s missile and drone capabilities and force its surrender, and that it could divide Iran, plunder its resources, and leave its people mired in chaos.”

It added, “The Iranian resistance fighters, inspired by their faith and the path of Imam Hussein, delivered a decisive historical lesson to the enemy, imposing a reality that ended its aggressive ambitions and inflicted upon it the bitterness of defeat before the will of the Iranian people.”

The Council noted that “Iran and the Resistance Front waged one of the fiercest complex wars in history, and during this confrontation, they succeeded in achieving all their objectives. The majority of American military capabilities in the region were destroyed, and significant losses were inflicted on its infrastructure and resources. Furthermore, painful blows were dealt to the occupied territories, thus tightening the noose around the enemy on all fronts.”

The statement pointed out that, after approximately 10 days of war, the enemy “realized its complete inability to achieve victory and resorted, through various channels, to requesting communication with Iran and seeking a ceasefire.”

The United States was forced to accept a 10-point plan put forward by Iran

The Council explained that the ten Iranian points included “a preliminary commitment to non-aggression, continued Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, recognition of its right to enrichment, lifting all primary and secondary sanctions, ending Security Council and Board of Governors resolutions, compensating Iran for damages, withdrawing US combat forces from the region, and ending the war on all fronts, including the front against the resistance in Lebanon,” stressing that the United States was forced to accept this plan.

The statement concluded by saying, “This achievement was made possible by the blessing of the blood of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and by the wisdom and guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, and thanks to the sacrifices and bravery of the fighters on the battlefields, especially the historic and inspiring popular support from the very first days of the war.”

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced via Truth Social that he would suspend airstrikes against Iran for two weeks, provided the Islamic Republic of Iran agreed to the full, immediate, and secure reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
