Amid sustained Israeli air superiority and a widening wave of strikes across Lebanon, Hezbollah resistance group released footage showing the targeting of an Israeli warship off the country’s coast with a naval cruise missile, underscoring its continued operational capability despite mounting pressure.
The footage, released by the group’s military media, documents a precision strike, dated on April 5, against an Israeli naval vessel in waters off the Lebanese coast. The attack comes as Israeli forces continue extensive aerial bombardment across southern Lebanon and beyond.
The video opens with a group of fighters prominently displaying a missile, appearing to be of the cruise type, in a striking prelude to the operation.
Images of Hajj Imad Mughniyeh and Hajj Qassem Suleimani prominently appear in the video, in a powerful tribute to two iconic military figures—Mughniyeh, Hezbollah’s top security and military commander assassinated by the Israeli enemy in Damascus in February 2008, and Suleimani, the revered chief of IRGC’s Quds Force assassinated by the United States in Baghdad in January 2020.
The footage also showcases a striking display near the missiles bearing the images of former Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, martyred in September 2024 and February 2026, respectively—an evocative symbol linking past and present leadership in a shared narrative of resistance and sacrifice.
In a scene charged with symbolism and continuity, the video further featurs images of current Hezbollah S.G. Sheikh Naim Qassem and the new Leader of the Islamic Revolution Sayyed Mujtaba Khamenei, widely interpreted as a renewed pledge of allegiance and a forward-looking affirmation of leadership guiding the next phase of the resistance.
The footage then captures the moment two missiles are launched in swift succession toward their designated target, marking the culmination of the operation.
