Israeli Enemy Pounds Southern Lebanon in Massive Escalation

Israeli enemy intensified their aggression across southern Lebanon since the first hours of Tuesday, unleashing a wave of air and drone strikes that struck residential areas, civilian infrastructure, and medical facilities, leaving casualties and widespread destruction.

Warplanes bombed the town of Tibnin, inflicting heavy damage on the governmental hospital, while a separate strike on a home in Shabriha ignited a massive fire that Civil Defense crews battled to contain. Additional drone and air attacks targeted towns of Shehabiyeh, Jabal Al-Batm and Al-Mansouri, as well as the town of Baflay, where multiple homes were damaged. Rescue teams continue to comb through the rubble in search of missing people.

The assault expanded to Deir Antar, where a house was struck, as well as Qlaileh near Tyre, which came under artillery fire. Airstrikes also hit areas between Ain Baal and Aytit, Al-Housh in Tyre, Qalaway and Burj Qalaway in Bint Jbeil district, in a sweeping escalation across the southern areas.

Earlier overnight, Kfar Tebnit was targeted in a midnight raid, while a drone strike at dawn hit a vehicle on Msayleh road, setting it ablaze and resulting in casualties.

Further strikes hit Arab Salim, Al-Mahmoudiyeh, and the vicinity of Nabatieh Al-Fawqa. In Adloun, an air raid targeted the old municipality building, leaving several injured, as ambulances rushed to the scene. Additional bombardment struck Ansariyeh and Al-Baysariyeh.

In Shebaa, drone attacks targeted a pickup truck without causing casualties, while another drone explosion in the Al-Wastani neighborhood of the same town, lightly injured a woman and damaged nearby property. A third drone crashed in Shebaa’s square.

In a deadly escalation later in the day, three airstrikes on Suhmor left two people martyred, one injured, and another missing, as rescue efforts remain ongoing amid the continued strikes.

Earlier on Monday, the Lebanese Health Ministry announced that 2,089 people have been martyred since the Israeli aggression on Lebanon started on March 2.
