Iranian Ambassador Informs Hezbollah Early Thursday about Trump’s Announcement of Ceasefire Imposed by Tehran: Al-Manar TV

Al-Manar TV reported that the Iranian ambassador had already informed Hezbollah early Thursday about US President Donald Trump’s contacts with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to announce the ceasefire tonight.

The report added that the Iranian ambassador confirmed to Hezbollah that the ceasefire in Lebanon was a precondition set by the Iranians for negotiations with the Americans.

According to Al-Manar, the resistance confirmed that it would monitor Israel’s practical and actual commitment to halting all hostilities against Lebanon.

In a related development, Reuters quoted MP Hasan Fadlallah, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, as saying that the Iranian ambassador informed them that the ceasefire would begin tonight. He indicated that Hezbollah’s commitment to the truce relies on Israel’s commitment to halting all forms of hostilities.

The US President had previously announced, via his Truth Social platform, a 10-day ceasefire in Lebanon, explaining that he had held what he described as excellent talks with the Lebanese president and the Israeli prime minister, and that the two leaders had agreed to begin the ceasefire at 5:00 PM US time.

House Speaker Nabih Berri asked residents who were displaced from South Lebanon, Dahieh, and Bekaa due to the war to postpone return till ceasefire becomes clearer.
