Hezbollah Delegation Visits Lebanon’s Maronite Patriarch to Extend Holiday Greetings

A Hezbollah delegation paid a holiday visit to Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi at the Patriarchal See in Bkerke on Tuesday.

The delegation included MPs Ali Fayad and Raed Brou, along with Political Council members Abu Saeed Al-Khansa and Abdullah Zaiour. They met with Patriarch Al-Rahi to extend seasonal greetings.

Following the meeting, Fayad reaffirmed the resistance’s commitment to UN Security Council Resolution 1701, particularly its provisions concerning the area south of the Litani River. He called on all Lebanese components and political forces to strengthen national solidarity amid escalating regional tensions.

MP Fayad also urged unity and coordinated action in the face of what he described as Israeli threats, stressing the importance of cohesion among Lebanese and the need to set aside political disputes that could fuel internal tensions or hate speech within society.

He further emphasized that responsibility for attacks affecting residents of the South, the Bekaa, and other Lebanese regions must be placed on the “Israeli enemy,” cautioning against blaming any Lebanese party, especially Hezbollah.

Hezbollah’s MP Fayad concluded by noting that the current phase is particularly challenging and requires the combined efforts of all Lebanese. He extended holiday wishes to Lebanese citizens in general, and to Christians in particular.
