After several hours of extensive search, the rescue teams managed to find the body of the martyr, journalist Amal Khalil who was killed in an Israeli air raid on a house she resorted to in Al-Tiri town, South Lebanon.
Al-Manar correspondent explained in details the Israeli crime:
- At 14:30, a Zionist drone struck a civilian car in the town of Tiri that was accompanying the car of the two colleagues, resulting in the martyrdom of two people, while the two colleagues sought shelter near a tree.
- Immediately after the strike, communications began with emergency teams and army intelligence, and the matter was entrusted to the Red Cross, which was waiting for permission from the “Mechanism” to move at that time.
- At 16:00, a Zionist drone struck again near the two colleagues, specifically targeting their car. At that point, colleague Amal contacted one of our colleagues and informed him of what had happened.
- After this call, the two colleagues sought shelter near one of the houses, awaiting the arrival of the Red Cross, which had not yet received permission.
- After about half an hour to an hour, and after it was rumored that the enemy refused to allow access to the location, and it was also rumored that it had asked international emergency forces not to use the Haddatha–Bint Jbeil public road, enemy warplanes launched a strike toward the town of Tiri. Here, everyone suspected that what happened was an explosion and not a strike, only to later discover that the enemy had targeted the house where the two colleagues had taken refuge.
- Just ten minutes after the strike, permission was given for Red Cross vehicles to move.
We are therefore facing a premeditated murder that targeted journalists, as the enemy knew precisely who was present, and the Lebanese state, emergency institutions, and the Lebanese media had publicly stated that those besieged were journalists. All of this refutes and contradicts the Zionist narrative.
The information minister Paul Morcos denounced the Zionist crime of assassinating the martyr, journalist Amal Khalil.
However, till the moment of drafting this report, the Lebanese authorities have not cancelled the new round of direct talks with the Israeli enemy in Washington yet. The direct negotiation is seen as a strategic concession that serves the enemy schemes.
