7 Martyrs, 24 Wounded in Israeli Aggression on South Lebanon

Al-Manar’s correspondent in southern Lebanon reported on Sunday that the Israeli occupation launched two airstrikes as part of ongoing Israeli aggression, targeting the towns of Zawtar al-Gharbiya and Zawtar al-Sharqiya in the Nabatieh district.

The correspondent added that occupation forces also carried out artillery shelling on the Ali al-Taher heights, as well as the area between the towns of Zawtar and Mayfadoun. Meanwhile, intensive low-altitude flights by Israeli warplanes were reported over towns and villages in southern Lebanon.

Seven Martyrs and 24 Wounded in Yesterday’s Toll from Israeli Aggression

The Israeli occupation army launched extensive raids yesterday on several towns in southern Lebanon under the wave of Israeli aggression, resulting in the martyrdom of seven people and injuries to 24 others, including three children, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

This brings the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire declaration to 23.

These attacks are part of Israel’s ongoing violations of the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which was announced by US President Donald Trump on April 16 for a period of ten days, and then extended for an additional three weeks on April 24.

The Israeli aggression also continues despite Trump’s pledge a few days ago to prevent Israel from bombing Lebanon.
