Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf mocked the US administration’s strategy of naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz targeting Iranian oil exports.

Responding to US President Donald Trump’s bluff three days ago and the US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s bragging, Ghalibaf wrote in a message posted on social media Wednesday, “3 days in, no well exploded. We could extend to 30 and livestream the well here.”

He added, “That was the kind of junk advice the US admin gets from people like Bessent who also push the blockade theory and cranked oil up to $120. Next stop: 140. The issue isn’t the theory, it’s the mindset.”

Earlier, Trump had suggested that Iran’s oil infrastructure could “explode” within three days if the disruptions caused by the US’s so-called naval blockade continue.

Also, Bessent wrote on X, “Iran’s creaking oil industry is starting to shut in production thanks to the U.S. BLOCKADE. Pumping will soon collapse. GASOLINE SHORTAGES IN IRAN NEXT!”
