Israeli Enemy Expands Attacks in Southern Lebanon Despite Ceasefire

The Israeli enemy expanded its attacks across southern Lebanon on Sunday, striking residential areas and disrupting all aspects of daily life despite a ceaefire announced on April 17.

Al-Manar correspondents in south Lebanon reported a series of air strikes targeting the towns of Arab Salim, Jebshit, Nmairiyeh, Sharqiyeh, Zawtar Al-Sharqiyeh, Ansar, Al-Dweir and Al-Qsaybeh in Nabatieh district.

Casualties were reported in the strikes, with our correspondent saying the strike on Arab Salim targeted pharmacy and local power generator, killing two citizens and injuring two others including a child.

Other air strikes targeted the towns of Srifa (4 raids), Shehabiyeh and Kfar Dounin in Tyre district, as well as Haris, Kafra and Yater in Bint Jbeil district, according to our correspondents.

Israeli drones hit targets in Siddiqine, in Tyre district, as well as Safad Al-Batikh and Al-Jmeijmeh, in Bint Jbeil district, Al-Manar correspondents reported.

Israeli artillery shelling also targeted the towns of Zawtar Al-Sharqiya, Zawtar Al-Gharbiya and Haris as well as the area between Froun and Al-Ghandouriyeh.

Meanwhile on Sunday, the Israeli enemy army issued an evacuation threat for at eleven towns in southern Lebanon: Jibshit, Arab Salim, Al-Dweir, Al-Sharqiyeh, Bar’ashit, Srifa, Kfar Dounin, Brayqe’, Qa’qa’iyat Al-Jisr, Al-Qsaybeh and Kfar Sir.

Earlier on Saturday, Lebanese Health Ministry updated the toll of the Israeli aggression, announcing that the number of martyrs rose to 2,659 and the number of injuries reached 8,183 since the wide-scale Israeli attacks on Lebanon were launched on March 2.
