Hezbollah’s Media Relations on Sunday blasted An-Nahar newspaper for continuing an inciteful approach by publishing false accusations and fabrications against the Resistance Party, despite efforts to ease tensions after an offensive video targeting Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem and Hezbollah fighters.
The statement said Hezbollah rejects any insult to religious or non-religious figures and symbols in Lebanon, stressing that An-Nahar’s coverage causes incitement aimed at rekindling tensions and igniting strife.
The Resistance Group called on the government, Ministry of Information, and judicial and security agencies to put an end to these transgressions, saying provocations from some media and political figures against a broad segment of Lebanese are no longer acceptable.
Hezbollah said the Resistance community has faced systematic media and political campaigns since the Nov. 27, 2024 ceasefire agreement, targeting its constants, values, symbols, leaders, and martyrs, urging authorities to act away from any double standards to preserve stability and civil peace.
