Hezbollah Fighters Ambush Golani Soldiers in South Lebanon Town, Prevent Israeli Helicopters from Evacuating Casualties

In light of its failure in face of the FPV gliders, the Israeli occupation army attempted on Monday to advance from Deir Seryan into Zawtar in South Lebanon. However, the Islamic Resistance fighters frustrated their trial, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

Hezbollah Military Media issued a statement in which it illustrated the ambush that even prevented the enemy army from evacuating their casualties.

What follows is the text of the statement:

In defense of Lebanon and its people, and following precise monitoring of a combined force from the “Israeli” enemy army that attempted to advance in the Khallet Al-Raj area north of Deir Seryan town toward Zawtar Al-Sharqiya town at 12:30 on Monday 04-05-2026, and upon reaching the direct fire range of an advanced Islamic Resistance fighters securing point, the Islamic Resistance fighters opened fire on the enemy force and engaged in a violent close-range clash from blank-point distance using light and medium weapons, achieving confirmed casualties among its ranks.

Immediately, the enemy initiated heavy fire cover to evacuate its force and casualties, deploying additional vehicles toward the engagement area. The Islamic Resistance’s artillery then targeted the evacuation force with artillery shells and appropriate rocket weapons. Anti-aircraft machine guns of the Islamic Resistance’s air defense units also intervened to prevent enemy helicopters from maneuvering and landing near the scene, forcing the enemy to evacuate the casualties by land toward the Misgav Am settlement, from where they were airlifted into the occupied Palestinian interior.
