Islamic Resistance Fighters Frustrate Israeli Occupation Army Attempts to Advance in South Lebanon

The Islamic Resistance engaged in fierce clashes with the Israeli occupation forces during the 24 past hours, preventing the enemy troops from achieving a field advance in South Lebanon.

In this context, the Zionist occupation forces deployed in Al-Bayyada town attempted overnight to infiltrate into Byout Al-Sayyad village. However, powerful blows, dealt by the Resistance fighters, targeted the Merkava tanks and destroyed at least 3 of them.

Hezbollah Military Media, meanwhile, issued on Friday a statement that illustrated another confrontation between the Resistance fighters and the enemy troops that tried to infiltrate from Rashaf into Hadatha in South Lebanon.

The statement read:

In defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the “Israeli” enemy’s violation of the ceasefire and its attacks on villages in southern Lebanon which resulted in the martyrdom of civilians and injuries among others, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted at 22:00 yesterday, Thursday 08-05-2026, vehicles belonging to the “Israeli” enemy army that were advancing from Rashaf town toward the outskirts of Hadatha town with artillery shells, forcing them to retreat.
