Southern Lebanon Under Sustained Israeli Escalation: Towns and Civilian Sites Targeted

Israeli aggression in southern Lebanon continued on Saturday despite the declared ceasefire, with ongoing artillery shelling as well as drone and air strikes.

The occupation army carried out sustained artillery shelling on the towns of Barashit, Safad Al-Batikh, and Touline, extending to Ghandouriyeh and Froun. The bombardment coincided with mortar and machine-gun fire across several areas.

Shelling also struck Majdal Zoun, Mansouri, and Byout Al-Seyad before resuming at night, accompanied by heavy machine-gun fire, including in the Bayada area, where clashes with the Islamic Resistance were reported.

Israeli forces also launched flares over villages in the western and central sectors. At dawn, several houses in the Al-Jabbaneh neighborhood of Bint Jbeil were demolished, alongside artillery fire on the outskirts of Ghandouriyeh.

In a separate development, an Israeli drone targeted a commercial establishment on the Shehabiyeh–Kfardounine road, causing material damage, according to Al-Manar’s correspondent.

Since 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, the towns of Arnoun, Kfar Tebnit, and Nabatieh have been subjected to intermittent Israeli artillery shelling as part of an ongoing escalation in southern Lebanon.

In a related development, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike shortly after midnight on Friday–Saturday, targeting a house in the town of Harouf and destroying it.

Meanwhile on Saturday, the Israeli enemy army issued a threat to evacuate nine villages in the southern district of Tyre.

Earlier on Friday, the Israeli enemy launched a series of strikes targeting areas across southern Lebanon as well as areas in Bekaa.
