Israeli Media: Hezbollah Launched Most Intense Multi-Drone Attack on Tuesday

Under a “cleared for publication” order, Hebrew Channel 15 reported that carried out what security sources described as its most intense drone assault to date, involving a coordinated swarm launched toward northern ‘Israel’.

According to the report, published on Wednesday, two waves of drones were launched on the northern border on Tuesday afternoon.

In the first wave, two drones targeted Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon, leaving two soldiers wounded—one moderately and one lightly, according to Israeli Channel 15.

Additional drones struck a target in the northern border, triggering a fire, while Israeli Air Force units attempted to intercept several of the incoming aircraft, the report added, citing the security sources.

Less than an hour later, a second and more intense wave followed, with multiple drones directed at the same target inside “Israeli territory”. The drones were said to have circled the area for several minutes, probing for vulnerable points before impact.

The report quoted an Israeli soldier as describing the scene: “I saw two drones hit the target, and within five seconds another appeared weaving between the buildings, as if searching for people. You see it all in real time—the fiber-optic cable, the drone itself, and a huge projectile.”

A security source described the incident as the first observed coordinated multi-drone attack on a single target inside the occupied Palestinian territories, warning that the main challenge lies in the sheer volume of incoming systems, where even successful interceptions do not neutralize the broader threat.

“The main concern is the simultaneous action of a large number of drones. Even if you manage to shoot down two or three, there are always others trying to pursue you,” the security source familiar with the details of the incident stated, according to Israeli Channel 15.

The Jerusalem Post also reported on the multi-drone attack. It cited a security source as saying: “Hezbollah launched a coordinated drone attack yesterday, the first of its kind and the largest on northern Israel.”

The source added that two Israeli soldiers were injured in a drone attack, and a site caught fire in another attack.

In its daily statements, Hezbollah Military Media announced several drones strike targeting Al-Abbad Israeli site inside the occupied Palestinian territories, opposite to the southern Lebanese border town of Houla.

Detailing on the attacks, Hezbollah Military Media issues five statements to elaborate on the operations.

Israeli media voiced concerns among military and security officials over Hezbollah use of FPV (First-Person View) drones against Israeli targets, with many officials saying there “is no solution” for this challenge.
