Al-Manar Correspondent Explains Latest Developments of Battle between Hezbollah Fighters and Israeli Army in South Lebanon

Al Manar correspondent in South Lebanon reported Friday afternoon the latest developments of the battle between Hezbollah fighters and the Israeli occupation forces in South Lebanon, denying rumors about Zionist control of Debbine town and affirming the retreat of enemy troops that had attacked Hadatha town.

What follows is Al-Manar correspondent’s report:

Debbine Axis

From the night hours until dawn today, the town of Debbine was subjected to intense artillery shelling and continuous fire from hostile Merkava tanks, which led to the closure of the main road between Marjayoun and Debbine .

The enemy advanced toward the road separating Debbine and Al-Khiam, also known as the Debbine –Al-Khiyam–Ebl Al-Saqi triangle.

The enemy moved toward what is known as Al-‘Arid al-Tahtani at the southeastern outskirts of Debbine.

During the early hours of the day, the shelling paused briefly before warplanes launched a new airstrike, followed by renewed heavy artillery shelling on the town.

This field reality clearly refutes claims of occupation control over the town, as the continued shelling confirms that Debbine remains outside the enemy’s grip and is still being subjected to ongoing aerial and artillery strikes.

Last night, close-range clashes erupted between resistance fighters and the infiltrating forces, punctuated by dense bursts of fire that disrupted the enemy’s movements and its ability to consolidate positions.

Al-Zawtar al-Sharqiya Axis
After the clashes of the previous two days, the enemy’s movements were stalled at the eastern quarter and southeast of the town, while the resistance continued targeting the invading forces with loitering gliders and artillery shells, and striking troop gatherings with rocket barrages.

Yohmor al-Shaqif Axis
During the midday hours, enemy forces on the town’s outskirts were hit with multiple rocket launches and targeted by resistance fighters. In response, the enemy carried out several airstrikes targeting the towns of Arnoun, Kafartibnit, and Yohmor al-Shaqif, as well as the Ali al-Taher heights, with thick smoke rising from the targeted areas. This came after the resistance had targeted and set fire to a hostile tank in the morning.

Haddatha Axis
Days after direct clashes in the town, the enemy again attempted to deepen its incursion into the town. Amid artillery shelling that hit the surrounding towns, the resistance closely monitored enemy movements. Yesterday, Thursday, it targeted a tank and a bulldozer with explosive devices near the pond. Shortly after midnight Thursday into Friday, the resistance again targeted an enemy movement near the stadium and forced it to retreat.
