Lebanon witnessed a sharp escalation in Israeli attacks on Wednesday, as a series of drone and warplane strikes targeted multiple areas across the country’s south as well as south of the capital, Beirut, leaving at least 12 people martyred and several others wounded, according to initial reports.
The wave of strikes on southern Lebanon began before dawn, with warplane and drone strike targeting several towns and villages, mainly across the districts of Tyre and Nabatieh, according to Al-Manar correspondents.
At approximately 1:50 a.m., an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Siddiqin, killing two people.Later at 5:23 a.m., an Israeli drone targeted a Civil Defense medical point affiliated with the Islamic Health Authority in the town of Arzoun, though no casualties were reported.
Less than an hour later, at 6:20 a.m., two drone strikes hit Al-Hosh, killing six people, including four Syrians and two Palestinians, in one of the deadliest attacks of the morning. The figures were confirmed by a statement released by the Lebanese Health Ministry.
As part of the ongoing targeting of the Tyre region, Israeli drones carried out two separate strikes on the Al-Bazouriyeh–Al-Hosh road, amid continued aerial bombardment of southern villages.
At 8:00 a.m., a drone strike targeted another Islamic Health Authority point on the Sarifa road, without causing casualties. About 15 minutes later, a car was struck in the town of Qana, resulting in casualties.
In the Nabatieh region, attacks intensified significantly. The town of Arab Salim was targeted in two consecutive strikes—first by an airstrike and then by a drone. The latter attack killed a paramedic from the Al-Risala Health Ambulance Association. Warplanes also carried out an airstrike on the town of Adshit.

The strikes continued at a rapid pace. At 8:40 a.m., an Israeli drone targeted a Rapid-type vehicle on the Deir Al-Zahrani road.
At 9:00 a.m., a strike on the Tebnin road killed one person, while a simultaneous attack near the Al-Rimal area in the town of Harouf resulted in another fatality.
In Sidon, an Israeli drone targeted the Sidon–Siniq area at 9:40 a.m., though no injuries were reported.
The escalation extended beyond southern Lebanon, as drones carried out two strikes in the Khaldeh area, some 12 kms south of Beirut, at 10:02 a.m.—one before the bridge and another beside it—injuring several people who were transported to hospitals.

Al-Manar correspondent then reported a series of airstrikes targeting other southern Lebanese areas, including nine raids only in Dibbin, in Marjeyoun district.
Meanwhile on Wednesday, Israeli enemy army issued three threats to evacuate a number of southern Lebanese towns in both Nabatieh and Sidon districts: Erzay, Zrayriyeh, Kawthariyat Al-Rez, Jbaa, Erkay, Houmin Al-Fawqa and Al-Kharayeb.
According to preliminary figures, the Israeli attacks throughout the day resulted in 12 fatalities and several injuries, reflecting an expanding geographic scope and increasing intensity of airstrikes across multiple regions of Lebanon.
Nearly 3,500 people have been martyred in Israeli atatcks since the aggression on Lebanon started on March 2, 2026, according to figures obtained by Lebanese Health Ministry. More than 10,100 others have been injured.
