Hezbollah condemned as “heinous aggression” the Israeli attack on a Lebanese Army vehicle in southern Lebanon, which resulted in martyrdom of three military personnel, including two officers.
In a statement, Hezbollah Media Relations said: “The cowardly and criminal attack perpetrated by the Zionist enemy against a military vehicle belonging to our national army, resulting in the martyrdom of two officers and a soldier, is a premeditated and deliberate crime.”
The Lebanese resistance group added the attack to a “long series of Israeli violations against the Lebanese people, particularly in the South and the Western Bekaa.”
“The attack is a natural consequence of the authorities’ disregard for the country’s sovereignty and the lives of its people, their gratuitous concessions, and most recently their complete capitulation to the enemy’s demands in Washington, which has emboldened them to shed the blood of our people and our army,” Hezbollah said, in the statement carried by Al-Manar.
The Lebanese resistance group extended deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs and to the entire military institution—its leadership, officers, and soldiers.
“We condemn this heinous aggression and reaffirm our unwavering support for our national army,” the statement concluded.
Two officers – a brigadier general and a captain- as well as a soldier were martyred after an Israeli strike targeted their military vehicle on Al-Khardali road in southern Lebanon on Saturday.
The Israeli aggression on Lebanon has now struck the Lebanese Army itself in southern Lebanon.
