One Israeli settler was killed and at least six others injured on Saturday in a shooting operation that targeted multiple locations inside the occupied ’48 territories, near the city of Qalqilya. Israeli police have detained one suspect and launched a large-scale search as far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for the execution of any shooter captured alive.
The attack unfolded across four separate sites Kochav Ya’ir, Tzur Yitzhak, Tzur Natan, and Sla’it all located north of the occupied West Bank, close to Qalqilya. Although Israeli occupation authorities classify these areas as lying inside the Green Line, they are situated geographically near Palestinian population centers in the northern West Bank.
