Israeli Airstrikes Continue Despite Ceasefire in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli occupation has continued its widespread aggression against villages and towns in southern Lebanon, launching a series of airstrikes that have left civilian martyrs and wounded across multiple districts.

Al-Manar’s correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted the city of Nabatieh in the Nabatieh district, while the town of Doueir in the same district was hit by two separate Israeli airstrikes. In the Tyre district, Israeli strikes targeted the towns of Srifa and Deir Kifa, with another strike hitting the town of Bint Jbeil.

In a separate incident, a Palestinian was martyred when an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in the town of Zifta in the Nabatieh district. Another drone strike hit a motorcycle in the town of Shahabiya in the Tyre district.

On another front, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression that targeted the town of Saksakieh in the Sidon district on Saturday has risen to two martyrs and 22 wounded, including a woman and three children.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army Command issued a statement confirming that two officers – a brigadier general and a captain along with a soldier were martyred on Saturday in an Israeli attack targeting a military vehicle on the Kfar Tebnit-Khardali road in the Nabatieh district.

The Israeli occupation continues its systematic aggression against Lebanon, striking all aspects of life in the country including Lebanese army personnel, paramedics in the health sector, and journalists. These attacks coincide with the Lebanese government’s insistence on direct negotiations with the occupation, a move rejected by the resistance, its supporters, and patriots from various political parties in Lebanon.
