Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah cautioned on Friday that some Lebanese political actors are approaching current developments through narrow sectarian and locally rooted loyalties, urging a unified national response to ongoing challenges amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon.

MP Fadlallah said certain parties are addressing the Israeli aggression and its repercussions in a “partial and limited” manner, failing to assume comprehensive national responsibility toward all Lebanese citizens.

The Lebanese lawmaker warned that some in positions of authority are acting as though they bear no responsibility for the broader national interest, stressing that Lebanon urgently needs leadership committed to the constitution, the National Pact, and the rule of law.

He emphasized that any political stance or decision that undermines national unity or serves the enemy—directly or indirectly—is “unacceptable and condemned,” underscoring that the ultimate benchmark for all positions must be their alignment with Lebanon’s supreme national interest.

MP Fadlallah also criticized rhetoric that “offends the sacrifices of the Lebanese people or overlooks their suffering under ongoing aggression,” while cautioning that confronting external threats must not come at the expense of internal cohesion.

He concluded by stressing that safeguarding the country, preserving unity, and reinforcing national cohesion remain paramount priorities in the face of continued Israeli attacks and mounting challenges.
