Islamic Resistance Operations Room issued on Friday a statement that details the frustration of the Israeli enemy’s attempt to advance from Tayr Harfa town into that of Majdal Zoun in South Lebanon, detonating IEDs and destroying the occupation’s vehicles.
What follows is the text of the statement:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
{Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to grant them victory.}
Allah Almighty is Truthful
In defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the “Israeli” enemy’s violation of the ceasefire and its attacks on villages in southern Lebanon, which resulted in the martyrdom of civilians and injuries among others, and after monitoring an “Israeli” force consisting of 12 armored vehicles that began moving on the night of Thursday 11-06-2026 from Shamaa town toward the Rajman–Tayr Harfa triangle and then to the Wadi Hassan area toward the outskirts of Majdal Zoun town under heavy fire cover and phosphorus shells, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted it with repeated rocket barrages and forced it to withdraw. Simultaneously, the fighters targeted gatherings of enemy vehicles and soldiers in Shamaa town with rocket barrages and artillery shells, and targeted two Merkava tanks in the town with guided missiles, destroying them.
During the early hours of Friday 12-06-2026, the “Israeli” force attempted once again to advance toward the outskirts of Majdal Zoun town. The Islamic Resistance fighters ambushed the force and engaged its members with light and medium weapons and rocket projectiles, destroying two Merkava tanks. The Resistance artillery unit then carried out repeated rocket barrages against the enemy force, compelling it to withdraw toward Tayr Harfa town.
While the force was withdrawing from Wadi Hassan toward Tayr Harfa town, the Islamic Resistance fighters detonated an explosive device IED against a military vehicle, scoring a direct hit and destroying it.
