As Iran advances efforts to consolidate national unity and strengthen its regional and international standing following recent developments, senior political and military officials have underscored the importance of strategic cohesion, economic resilience, and defense preparedness in confronting the challenges ahead.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed on Sunday that negotiations are conducted within the framework of the country’s overarching state policies, stressing that overcoming upcoming challenges requires national cohesion and coordinated effort across all institutions.

Speaking during an expanded meeting with media executives in Tehran, Pezeshkian outlined the government’s approach to managing the aftermath of the recent conflict and its broader consequences. He identified key national priorities as preserving internal unity, strengthening resilience, improving living standards, supporting production and industry, expanding ties with neighboring countries, backing the armed forces, and continuing negotiations strictly within the state’s strategic framework.

The president stressed that Iran is going through a very critical time, and to handle future challenges successfully, all government institutions need to work together, build trust in society, avoid division, and follow the rules set by legal authorities and official policies.

He further detailed the economic, social, and political dimensions of the current situation, underscoring the need to simultaneously safeguard national authority and address public livelihood concerns. Pezeshkian said the government remains committed to easing economic pressure, combating corruption and discrimination, expanding regional engagement, and promoting openness in the country’s development trajectory, alongside protecting national interests and security.

Armed Forces on High Alert

The Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Major General Ali Abdollahi, has said that members of the country’s armed forces are “keeping their fingers on the trigger” and fully prepared to strike at the enemy when necessary.

In a message addressed to the Iranian public, Abdollahi stated that the resilience and renewed mobilization of the Iranian people have ushered in a new phase in global developments, positioning the Islamic Republic as an “influential global power.”

He added that the armed forces, particularly commanders shaped by the legacy of the Islamic Revolution’s leadership, continue to regard opposition to what he called global arrogance and Zionism as a foundational principle of the revolution since its inception.

Abdollahi further said that events over the past year, including a 12-day war and what he referred to as the “Ramadan War,” despite significant losses and the killing of senior commanders and civilians, had created an opportunity for a “historic reckoning” with adversaries, inflicting heavy costs on them with the support of the people and divine assistance.

He stated that Iran’s combat, missile, naval, drone, and air defense capabilities have been further strengthened under directives from the country’s top leadership, asserting that the armed forces are now more powerful than before.

Reiterating their readiness, he said the armed forces remain on high alert and prepared for decisive action against any threat while reaffirming that the objective of liberating Al-Quds and avenging the death of senior commanders would never be forgotten, warning that any enemy misstep would be met with a decisive response.
