Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah said ‘Israel’ has repeatedly violated the ceasefire and attempted to evade the terms imposed by the Iran-US memorandum of understanding (MoU), warning that no final agreement will be reached without a complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
Speaking during an Ashura commemoration on Wednesday, Fadlallah stressed that “the Israeli enemy never intended to adhere to this agreement,” adding that the resistance is fully prepared to respond. He noted that “the relevant parties are aware of the appropriate course of action and the current direction in this matter.”
Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance issued a new warning regarding the Israeli attacks that claimed lives of civilians in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, stressing that it is “closely monitoring and tracking the Israeli breaches in real time.”

Fadlallah described the Iran-US MoU as “a significant achievement for the Islamic Republic of Iran,” emphasizing that it incorporated Lebanon and secured full Iranian commitment. He underscored that negotiations are contingent on halting Israeli attacks on Lebanon, stating that “negotiations would not continue unless the attacks on Lebanon ceased, and that the attacks have indeed ceased.”
He further framed the agreement as part of a broader regional shift, saying it has established “a global event and a regional equation,” rooted in “the diplomacy of strength, missiles, steadfastness, the Strait of Hormuz, the fighting in Ali Al-Taher, and the political pressure exerted by the Islamic Republic of Iran,” adding that “our situation will be much better in the coming days.”
“After placing our trust in God Almighty, we rely on the strength of the resistance fighters, on our people, on our unity, and on this Iranian support and backing.”
Iran Support
The Hezbollah lawmaker hailed the Islamic Republic of Iran as saying, “Where else in the world is there a country like Iran that places the Strait of Hormuz in our hands?” and noted that “the entire Iranian nuclear program is now contingent on Lebanon’s interests.”
He argued that recent developments have disproven claims that Lebanon is subordinate to external powers, stating that “those who previously claimed that we were a pawn in someone’s hands have been proven by these events to be a force and a people, not a pawn, and that the Iranian nuclear program serves Lebanon, not the other way around.”
MP Fadlallah said the MoU’s detractors include “the Israeli enemy, which seeks to evade the ceasefire, and those within the country whose hopes were dashed and illusions shattered,” adding: “Don’t bet on America, don’t bet on our defeat, and don’t bet on us being a people who can be broken.”
Concessions Undermine Agreement
He also accused some Lebanese actors of attempting to undermine the agreement through political pressure and foreign outreach, warning against concessions. “We have warned them… that they must not, under any circumstances, make any concessions to this defeated and humiliated enemy,” he said.
Fadlallah stressed that any agreement imposed without the consent of the resistance would not be implemented, declaring: “Nothing will be implemented in Lebanon without our consent. What we agree to will be implemented, and what we do not agree to will not be implemented in Lebanon, even if the entire world were to unite against it.”
He concluded with a call for internal recalibration, addressing the Lebanese Government as saying: “The opportunity has not ended yet… you must get out of the downward spiral, return to your people, trust them and the resistance, and benefit from this Iranian support,” adding that “Lebanon is the one that needs Iran, not the other way around. It stands by our side.”
