An individual Hezbollah fighter operating inside an area in southern Lebanon occupied by Israeli enemy forces opened fire on a patrol in Bint Jbeil, wounding one soldier seriously and injuring two others before disappearing, according to Israeli Army Radio.
The report said troops from the 679th Brigade (Yiftach) had entered a building in the southern border town when the gunman engaged them at close range.
In response, Israeli warplanes struck the site of the clash, while ground forces launched a manhunt across the area.

Despite the aerial strike and ongoing search operation, the assailant remained at large, underscoring the continued presence and mobility of Hezbollah resistance fighters within occupied areas by Israeli enemy forces in southern Lebanon.
