Coronavirus cases are still rising in Lebanon, with 456 new infections have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.
In its daily report, Lebanese Health Ministry announced on Monday that the total infections nationwide rose by 465 to 9,337.
It added that 2 new related fatalities were registered on Monday, rising the toll of the deaths nationwide to 105.
The report said that the number of recoveries reached 2,809 after 255 recovery cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, it noted that 5,646 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 1,366 at Beirut International Airport.
Earlier on Monday, Health Minister Hamad Hasan said that Lebanon is heading for two-week-lockdown, warning that citizens must abide by coronavirus measures since the issue “is a matter of life or death.”
Lebanon recorded on Sunday the highest daily death toll with 6 coronavirus-related deaths were registered and 439 infections.
