Lebanon registered on Sunday 641 new coronavirus cases and two virus-related deaths, Ministry of Public Health Reported.
In its daily report, the ministry said that 627 new cases were recorded among local residents while the other 14 cases were imported.
It added that the new infections take the total number of coronavirus cases confirmed nationwide since February 21 to 24310.
Two virus-related deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll nationwide to 241, the report said.
8,352 PCR tests were conducted over the past 24 hours, including 2,529 tests were conducted at Beirut International Airport.
429 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours, the ministry said, noting that 113 of them have been in the Intensive Care Units (ICU).
Meanwhile, the number of recovery cases reached 8,334, according to the report.
Earlier on Saturday, Lebanon recorded 686 new coronavirus cases and ten related deaths.
