Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Monday vehemently condemned the terrorist crime that targeted the Lebanese army in Beddawi, in which four members of the military establishment were killed. “Once again, the Lebanese army soldiers sacrifice their blood for the sake of civil peace. May the military establishment be protected by unity, cohesion, and by having all sides rally around its role,” Berri said.
The House Speaker went on to wonder whether more martyrs were required in order for people to realize that Lebanon was still within the circle of terrorism and its demons.
“Mercy for the fallen martyrs, and my warmest condolences to their families and to the military establishment,” he added.
Berri had contacted Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, and offered him condolences upon the loss of four Army martyrs.
