Lebanese caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hasan said that the ministry is dealing with the issue of the new school year out of high responsibility amid the outbreak of novel coronavirus pandemic.
In remarks to Al-Manar on Friday, Hasan said the plan set by both Ministries of Health and Education has taken health protocols into consideration.
“Every decision in this regard was taken based on its positive and negative influence,” the minister said, noting: “We are also parents who are concerned about the health of their children.”
Hasan also pointed to effectiveness of protective measures taken by the Lebanese University.
Meanwhile, he noted that the Ministry of Public Health trying to overcome difficulties that are hindering public hospitals from receiving patients, regardless of their condition.
On the issue of prisoners who are infected with COVID-19, Hasan urged cooperation so that public hospitals can received those patients.
“Concerned sides are working to preserve the health pf prisoners who are infected with the COVID-19.”
